Resize an image to exact pixels and KB
Most image resizers give you one control: smaller. Portal uploads need two numbers at once - exact pixel dimensions and a maximum file size - and reject the photo if either is wrong. This page opens our Compress Picture tool, which leads with both boxes: type the width and height in pixels, set the KB or MB cap, choose fit or crop-to-fill, and download a photo that matches both rules.
How to do it
- Add your photo (JPG, PNG or WebP).
- Type the exact pixels and the maximum KB or MB from your application.
- Choose fit or crop-to-fill, then click Compress Picture and download.
Common questions
What is the difference between fit and crop-to-fill?
Fit keeps the whole photo visible and may leave one dimension slightly different. Crop-to-fill guarantees the output is exactly the pixel size asked for, trimming edges as needed.
Which sizes do portals ask for?
Common ones include 600x600 pixels, 35x45 mm (about 413x531 pixels at 300 DPI) and caps like 50 KB, 200 KB or 240 KB. Always use the numbers in your own application.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. Resizing runs in your browser.
