Flatten a PDF - lock fields into the page
After filling a form, flattening locks the fields and stamps into the page itself, so the answers display everywhere and cannot be accidentally changed. Many application portals ask for flattened PDFs for exactly this reason. This tool flattens your file in the browser and tells you if there was nothing to flatten.
How to do it
- Add your filled PDF.
- Click Flatten PDF.
- Download the locked, flattened copy.
Common questions
Can I edit the fields after flattening?
No. Flattening is permanent in the downloaded copy, so keep your filled original if you may need changes.
What if my PDF has no form fields?
The tool still re-saves a clean copy and tells you there was nothing to flatten.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Flattening runs on your device.
