      How to compress a PDF on your phone
      

      Your phone is where the PDF problem usually arrives: a portal, an email or a message says the file is too big, and the file is sitting in your phone's downloads or photos. You do not need a special app. Because every tool on this site runs in the browser itself, your phone can do the whole job - and your document is never uploaded anywhere.
      Two phone tips before you start. First, work on Wi-Fi if the file is huge, because the download at the end is the new file coming back to you. Second, for very large scans a computer is faster and gentler on memory; phones handle everyday documents - forms, certificates, a few scanned pages - without any trouble.
